In the last few days of our vacation, we stayed at Xiaolei's brother's home.
28号出去到海边玩了下。康州的海边都是小小的沙滩，巨多的石子，踩得脚生疼，不得不穿鞋下水。天气奇热无比。
7/28, we went to a beach at Starford. A small community beach, a lot of stones in the sand. We got to wear shoe to prevent cuts in our feet. It was extremely hot!
小蕾给三个小女孩涂防晒霜，后面的是我们的外甥女彤彤，Claudia。英文名字跟某名模相同。
Claudia, named after one of the supermodels, is our niece.
这可不像名模呀。

不得不承认，Catie对小桶的喜爱是有点偏执了。。。

游泳没有意思，小朋友们在海滩上挖到了许多的活的贝壳，螃蟹，螺丝等小动物。
They dug out a lot of shells, crabs, and snails.

7月29日，我们去纽约城玩。嗯，具体地说，是小蕾去参加某广交会，我们三个剩下的去玩。说实在的，我非常痛恨纽约市，毫无乐趣可言。要不是有朋友自费城老远来看我们，约好纽约碰头，我才不要去呢。
July 29, we went to the New York city. Actually, we hate the city. The good thing was, our old friend Wang Guixia came from Pheladephia to meet us in NYC.
在6街见面，在街头走走，然后分手。
We met at the 6th, took a walk.
王桂霞三个孩子，老大是个男孩，一出地铁就自己玩去了，压根儿我就没见到。老二老三是女孩子，王桂霞还带了她朋友的孩子来玩，穿红衣服的。从左数起：Jean（时珍妮），Rebecca，Chris Tucker，Sarah，Annie(时安妮）。什么，你不知道Chris Tucker是谁？就是那谁谁，跟成龙演尖峰时刻的，Rush Hour，像吧？

为了打发时间，我和王桂霞带小孩上了一条环曼哈顿岛的旅游船。百无聊赖的Catie.

丹麦艺术家奥拉维尔·埃利亚松为纽约市设计了4座巨型人工瀑布于08年6月26日正式亮相，为人们提供一场颇具震撼力的视觉盛宴。由于没有天然生成的悬崖供瀑布下泻，埃利亚松采用巨型金属支架代替悬崖，利用抽水系统把水抽送到金属支架顶端的水槽，从而形成瀑布。每分钟抽送水量超过13万升。
这张是布鲁克林大桥下的人工瀑布。我不得不说，跟我前两天看过的尼亚加拉瀑布相比，这怎么也不能算作“巨型”。呵呵，人造的东东是无法跟神造的东东比呀！
One of the four man-made huge waterfalls in NYC. This one is under Brooklyn Bridge. Compared with Niagara Falls we saw a couple days ago, this one cannot claim the word "huge".
在船上聊了三个小时，小孩子几乎无聊至死，又加上天气闷热，一个个都烦躁不安。下了船，旁边有个小公园，她们一见喷水池，就冲进去了。

这次的假期就这么结束啦，玩得很开心，景色很美，吃得不错，也见到了好久不见的朋友和亲人，而且一路平安，没出任何意外。感谢主。
A very happy vacation, nice scene, good food, long-time-no-see friends and families, no accident, safe all the way. Thank God!
